Pilot Outfitters Shipping Policy

What is the shipping policy?

Most items are available immediately for in-store pickup at Pilot Outfitters. Most items are available for pick-up within 1 – 5 business days. Some exclusions apply.

At this time, we can ship items to you directly in the United States using UPS or USPS. Most items are available for pick-up within 1 – 5 business days. Some exclusions apply.

In order to protect you from fraud, we may ask that you email a copy of your credit card (both front and back) and one other form of identification before we can process your order. We will send you an email requesting this information once we have received your online order, so feel free to place your order now and email the information later if requested.

General Shipping Information

In-stock merchandise
Is usually processed and shipped within 2 business days if you choose Ground shipping.

If the merchandise you have selected is currently not in stock we will give you an expected shipping time at checkout or by a follow-up email.

Multiple shipments
The merchandise you order may be filled from several locations and so items may arrive separately. You will not incur additional shipping charges under these circumstances. Your original shipping charge will simply be split across the multiple packages when your order is charged.

You will be charged for each shipment separately when it ships. The total charges for all the shipments will equal to the total for the entire order.

Shipping to multiple addresses
If you choose to ship to multiple addresses we will add $5 for each additional address.

Pilot Outfitters uses UPS and USPS to make sure your items arrive to you on time.

Restrictions on Air Shipping
Restricted items include aerosols, pressurized spray cans and alcohol-based products (airplane cleaning sprays, solvents, paint, etc.). Due to air transport restrictions and regulations, these items are required by the U.S. Department of Transportation to be shipped by Standard Ground Shipping only.

The shipping policy information in the above links pertains only to customers in the United States 48 Contiguous States. We do not currently ship to P.O. Boxes, U.S. territories, international re-shippers or businesses that forward to international addresses.

*Orders shipping to military addresses can be shipped only via UPS Ground Shipping.

Shipping surcharges

Based on their size and/or weight, certain items may incur a shipping surcharge. Shipping surcharges are shown on product pages before you place an item in your “CART” and will be added to the total shipping cost for your order.

International shipping

We do not offer international shipping at this time. We do not ship to international re-shippers, or businesses that forward packages to international addresses. You are welcome to place your order for pick up at Pilot Outfitters. Most items are available for pickup within 1 – 5 business days. Some exclusions apply. See “General Shipping Information” section for details.


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned (e.g. FAA Charts, books, DVDs, CDs, videos, special order items, etc.).

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

Book with obvious signs of use

CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery


Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at [email protected] and send your item to: 3021 Airport Ave. #115 Santa Monica California United States 90405.



If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.


Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.


If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
